The lotus is a divine symbol in a number of Asian religuous traditions representing the virtue of purity and non-attachement. Lotus pods are the seed head of the lotus flower. Resembling the spouts of watering cans lup to 20cm in diameter. When the pits of seed pod contain lotus seeds or nuts which can be eaten.

Selection and Storage

Choose undamaged pods. Dried pods do not need to be kept in water. Fresh pods should be kept in cool water.
