Commitments

Wiffens are committed to sourcing the best and freshest produce, flowers and groceries available.

Jack and son David Irvine travel to Sydney Markets every week to personally select and taste the best fruit and vegetables. Produce is delivered daily from the Markets by refrigerated transport and also directly from farmers, when quality and availability meets the Wiffens standard.

Farmers

Wiffens has a commitment to supporting Australian growers backed by stringent labeling of produce to ensure customers know when they are buying local or imported products. Wiffens has direct links to local farmers and when local produce is available that meets Wiffens quality standards we directly from the Farmer, many of whom we have exclusive relationships with.

The Local Community

Throughout its history, Wiffens have also supported the local community. Every week Wiffens donates fruit, vegetable and flowers to Canberra charities.

Wiffens are supporters of CMRI (Childrens Medical Research Institute) Barnado’s, Australian Cancer Council, Stasia Dabrowski of The Soup Kitchen, Radio 106.3 Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party, local schools and Aged Care Facilities.

The Enviroment

Our facilities reduce our environmental impact by ensuring produce is kept in the best condition, minimising waste. In addition, we try to reduce our environmental impact by recycling or reusing all cardboard and keeping green waste for collection by local farmers and gardeners.

Health and Safety

Wiffens undergoes an annual stringent health and safety audit so we can comply with the highest health and safety standards allowing us to have NCS International Certified Food Safety Management System (HACCP) certification.
